NBI Bearings Europe remains committed to fostering links between the academic world, young talent and the industrial sector. The company recently held its third collaboration event with the EHU – Bilbao School of Engineering at its Okondo facilities in Álava, thereby consolidating an initiative aimed at bringing the future of engineering closer to university students.
During the visit, final-year Mechanical and Industrial Engineering students and their tutors had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the company’s operations and discover how work is carried out at each stage of production. From the design to the manufacture of #bearings in the #Enhanced+ range, attendees were able to observe the entire process that drives a company specialising in high-performance industrial solutions.
Beyond technology and production processes, the day focused on the people and the #knowledge shared within the organisation. Participants toured the production plant and laboratories, where they were able to exchange experiences with professionals from different departments and understand the importance of #innovation, collaboration and a passion for a job well done.
For NBI Bearings Europe, initiatives of this kind are particularly significant because they help forge closer links between universities and industry, enabling future engineers to gain an understanding of the sector’s real needs and prepare themselves for the challenges of the job market.
Following the success of this third edition, NBI is already working on organising further #training and collaboration events, reaffirming its commitment to young talent and industrial development.
