NBI Bearings Europe in collaboration with University of Mondragon, has worked for two years on the R&D project \u201cFRICTION \u201d, supported by Hazitek and CDTi. The main objective of this project has been to analyse and understand the effect of the surface on the tribological properties of a bearing through the studying of three-dimensional topography.<\/p>\n

With this project it was possible to delve into the 3D parameters which tribologically affect the surfaces in contact and correlate them with the 2D parameters in order to achieve less surface wearing.<\/p>\n

With the knowledge acquired, Bearings Europe optimizes the surface quality and the life of its bearings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
